Effective Date: 4Th May 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to the Bright Path Autism Academy Blog, operated by Bright Path Autism Academy (“we”, “us”, or “our”). The Blog shares information on autism awareness, therapy, learning, parenting, and academy updates to support parents, caregivers, educators, and the wider community.
By accessing or using the Blog, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the website.
These terms apply to the Blog and its associated features. School admissions, therapy services, assessments, fees, and use of the school management portal are governed by their own applicable agreements and policies.
2. Content Disclaimer
All content published on the Bright Path Autism Academy Blog is provided for general informational and educational purposes only.
Articles about autism, child development, behaviour, communication, therapies, or learning strategies are not a substitute for an individual assessment or advice from a qualified healthcare professional, therapist, psychologist, or special needs educator.
Do not use Blog content to diagnose a child, prescribe treatment, or replace or delay professional advice. Reading an article, submitting a comment, or contacting us through the Blog does not, by itself, establish a professional care relationship.
We aim to provide accurate and useful information, but we cannot guarantee that every article is complete, current, or suitable for a particular child or situation. Examples, personal stories, and descriptions of progress do not promise similar results for other learners.
Nothing in these terms excludes any responsibility or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
3. Intellectual Property
Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the Blog’s articles, images, videos, logos, graphics, and downloadable resources remain with their respective owners, including Bright Path Autism Academy, its contributors, and third-party rights holders, as applicable.
You are welcome to share links to our articles. Except where permitted by applicable law or an expressly stated licence, reproducing, modifying, distributing, selling, or republishing protected material requires prior written permission from the relevant rights holder. This restriction does not override lawful copyright exceptions, including applicable fair dealing provisions.
For permissions or copyright concerns, contact rights@brightpathautismacademy.com.
4. User-Generated Content
Where comments, contributions, or other submission features are enabled, you remain responsible for the material you submit. You must own that material or have permission to share it.
You retain ownership of your contributions. By submitting material for publication, you grant Bright Path Autism Academy a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, reproduce, format, and display it as necessary to operate the Blog while it remains published.
This permission does not authorise unrelated advertising use of your contribution or override anyone’s privacy rights. You may contact us to request removal of your submission, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Comments and personal experiences submitted by readers represent their own views and do not necessarily reflect those of the academy.
5. Privacy and Data Protection
Our handling of personal information is subject to Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019, and applicable regulations. Please read our Privacy Policy for information about data collection, use, retention, sharing, and your rights.
Protecting children’s privacy is especially important. Processing children’s personal information requires the applicable parental or guardian consent and safeguards that protect their rights and best interests, subject to lawful exceptions.
Do not post a child’s medical reports, assessment results, admission number, contact details, or other sensitive or identifying information in public comments. Sharing identifiable child photographs or personal stories requires appropriate permission and safeguards.
Acceptance of these terms is not blanket consent to marketing, optional tracking, or publication of a child’s information. Where consent is required, it must be obtained separately for the relevant purpose and may be withdrawn as provided by law.
6. External Links
The Blog may include links to other websites, research, schools, therapy providers, organisations, or educational resources for reference and convenience.
We do not control external websites and cannot guarantee their accuracy, availability, security, or privacy practices. Unless expressly stated, mentioning or linking to an organisation, product, or service does not establish an endorsement, partnership, or guarantee of suitability.
Please review the relevant provider’s information and policies before relying on its content, sharing personal information, or obtaining services.
7. Commenting and Community Guidelines
We welcome respectful, inclusive, and constructive discussions that support understanding of autism and the dignity of children and families.
You must not submit abusive, discriminatory, defamatory, threatening, misleading, or unlawful material. Harassment, impersonation, spam, unauthorised advertising, harmful treatment promotions, and disclosure of another person’s private information are not permitted.
We may moderate, decline, redact, or remove contributions that breach these terms or create a safeguarding concern. Moderation will not be used to misrepresent a contributor’s views. We do not guarantee publication of every submission or immediate review of every comment.
8. Termination of Access
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to commenting, accounts, or other Blog features where we reasonably believe a user has breached these terms, compromised security, or put others at risk.
Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to raise a concern. Immediate action without advance notice may be necessary to protect users, children, or the website.
Where account features are available, users are responsible for protecting their login details and reporting suspected unauthorised access.
9. Changes to Terms and Conditions
We may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes to the Blog, our practices, or applicable requirements.
The revised terms will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Where changes materially affect users’ rights or obligations, we will provide an appropriate notice.
Changes apply prospectively from their stated effective date. Continued use of the Blog after that date indicates acceptance of the revised terms, subject to any additional acceptance or consent required by law.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Disputes concerning the Blog will be handled by Kenyan courts with the appropriate jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory legal protections that apply.
We encourage you to contact us about concerns so that we can attempt to resolve them. This does not prevent you from seeking a legal remedy or submitting a data protection complaint to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner where applicable.
Nothing in these terms removes statutory rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.
